Springboard also works closely with the industry to help attract more talent and address skills shortages. In doing so, it has the support of over 180 different industry establishments and suppliers. For more information about Springboard, visit www.springboard.uk.net We’re delighted that at this year’s lunch Dhruv Baker, former winner of MasterChef, will be talking to us about his work with the Springboard charity and what he values about what they do. Mexican-born and Indian-raised Baker quit his job in media sales after winning the 2010 series of MasterChef. Since his win he has worked with Michel Roux Jr at Le Gavroche and at De Librije in Holland amongst other projects. He has launchedhis own catering and events company, Earlsfield Kitchen and his first book will be released in May. He will share his experiences of how his career in cuisine has taken off in the days since the show and how his background has influenced his particular cooking style.
