MEETING THE BRIEF

There are many good reasons to join the HMA. We are part of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), the largest professional marketing body in the world. We organise a calendar of events reflecting topical issues and featuring very senior people from the industry. These events may be a seminar, a debate, a lecture or even a full day conference. The price you pay to attend these events is highly competitive and makes your annual membership fee great value for money. Details of these events will be emailed to you and are always posted on our website.

We also work closely with other professional bodies in the industry and will let you know of anything relevant that they are organising, often offering you a preferential rate to attend.

We organise the annual hotel marketing awards, which are considered the benchmark for marketing in the industry. Winners are always announced at our annual Christmas Luncheon, at which we also support a nominated charity.

WHO CAN JOIN THE HMA?

The answer is simple - anyone who's interested in Hotel Marketing. Although most of our members are hotel sales and marketing practitioners, a growing number are hotel operators, independent hotel proprietors, Food & Beverage Managers - indeed anyone who wants to learn more about marketing in our industry and how they can be involved in its development.

How can I join the HMA?

Membership of HMA comes free of charge with membership of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. When you join CIM, you are invited to select a local members' group and a market interest group. CIM Hotel Marketing Assciation (HMA) is your market interest group.

All of our events, except the Christmas luncheon, are eligible for CPD hours.

You will then automatically be added to our emailing list and receive details of all our activities and events and any special discounts on industry publications or studies. Some of our events are exclusive to members and all events are significantly cheaper to attend if you are a member.
